Seaford Head 2/8/13

A slight improvement from yesterday, but only slight. The highlight was a minor influx of Painted Ladies, and all were in very fresh condition. The constant echo of thunderstorms were surrounding me, but again no rain. Totals are:

Sedge Warbler - 2
Nightingale - 2
Reed Warbler - 2
Whitethroat - 38
Lesser Whitethroat - 1
Willow Warbler - 4
Blackcap - 1
Green Sandpiper - 2 loafing around the Cuckmere
Turnstone - 1 over the cottages

Painted Lady - 16

A walk with the dog behind Peacehaven afterwards were 2 Clouded Yellows.

A moth trap produced the goods however with a superb Jersey Tiger Moth.
